A Message from Our COVR President
COVR is pleased to announce the addition of two new members to the COVR Board of Directors. They are Christopher McClure of Schiffer Publishing and Sue Wilhite of Positively Success. Chris and Sue were recruited by the Board to replace Micki Baumann of Deva Designs and Cindy Odorizzi of Next Millennium, both of whom are taking a hiatus from their COVR volunteer work.

COVR’s vendor members frequently ask COVR about doing business with New Leaf (https://www.newleaf-dist.com/) . We decided to pose some of those to Steven Wallace, New Leaf’s Director of Business Development at New Leaf.
Here are his answers.
COVR: What is the advantage to listing my product at New Leaf?
New Leaf: We get this question often. Usually the vendor is not familiar with New Leaf, and is unaware of our lengthy history with the Conscious Living Community in North America. We have been servicing Mind, Body and Spirit retailers for over 43 years. We are the largest wholesaler of Mind, Body & Spirit books, music, decks and accessories in North America. We have over 2,000 accounts, most of who prefer to purchase from New Leaf rather than directly from publishers and vendors. A single order with us allows the retailer to purchase books, CDs, decks and accessories/sidelines from a single source reducing the time needed for accounting and payments. One purchase order affords them fewer shipments, shorter wait times and only one invoice. New Leaf is great at getting a vendor’s product from point A to point B. Vendors like the idea of not having to deal with pulling, packaging and shipping their goods. We do that for them.
We offer low minimums on over 32,000 books, CDs, DVDs, decks, calendars and accessories/sidelines, and we ship most orders the same day.
Our advertising platforms are designed to target our market retailers with monthly New Leaves updates, going straight to the retail buyers, and our Evolve magazine is available to retailers free of charge, allowing them to offer it to their customers at no cost. Our ad programs target the retail buyer and the consumer.
COVR: What is New Leaf’s application process for new products?
New Leaf: The application process is easy. A vendor can visit our New Leaf Vendor website www.NewLeafVendors.com and select the Submission Guide tab at the top of the page. A drop down menu will give you the Submission Requirements link. There you will find links to the Vendor Information Form, Product Information Form and Introductory Requirements document. Fill out the forms and send us a sample of your product(s) along with the forms.

Introducing Schiffer Publishing’s New Imprint: Red Feather Mind, Body, Spirit by Christopher R. McClure
When I started in the sales and marketing department at Schiffer Publishing in January of 2011, I was astounded at the variety of books that I was now tasked with representing and the variety of categories as well. What intrigued me most, though, of any of the categories was their line of metaphysical titles. Since I came to the company with a knowledge and keen interest in subjects of that nature, I made it my mission to acquaint myself with the titles first, not only to promote them more effectively but also to understand the category better in order to help it grow. Within that first year, it occurred to me that a separate mind, body, spirit imprint under the Schiffer umbrella would be a great way for the line to prosper and flourish. Five years later and here we are: Red Feather Mind, Body, Spirit has taken flight.
