Hello COVR Members!
Our apologies. We did not get a newsletter out in July, in spite of our very best intentions. I believe we would all agree that life and schedules as we knew them are drastically changed and we are navigating 'in the blind,' figuring out our new normal. Remember that COVR offers mentoring services to our paid members; if you need advice, guidance, or a mentor to help you bring your business through these interesting times, just fill out our Ask an Expert form on the FORMS menu on our website at ** www.covr.org (http://www.covr.org)
.
Many of our 2020 COVR plans are placed on hold, including our plans for a business 'academy,' a set of virtual classes in many forms, that we had intended to roll out this year. We will renew our efforts next year to put our Visionary Learning Academy in place. Instead, we will do our best to bring you business articles and ideas for keeping your business open and growing.
I'm in my last year as your president -- my term ends next June and I invite each of you to send in your ideas for how COVR can help, support, or assist you in your business endeavors. We are exploring new ways to bring COVR members what they need at this time. Email ** info@covr.org (http://info@covr.org)
and share your needs, question, and even your articles and ideas that we can bring to our membership.
Thanks to each of you!

INATS 2020 Recap
by Andrew Toplarski, Show Producer and COVR Board Member
After 24 years in Denver, Colorado, INATS moved to 'the cloud' for 2020. We wanted to help everyone keep in touch while keeping our social distance. Our goal was to duplicate as much of the INATS experience as possible with virtual booths, author presentations, seminars, and more. While the Expo was a success, everyone missed the in-person interaction that makes INATS what it is and all plan to return to the Crowne Plaza June 11-13, 2021.
79 authors/musicians/speakers, and virtual booths filled the final line-up. 246 retailers logged in to participate. After sending login and password information to all the stores that have attended the show in the past 3 years and asking other buyers to register on our website to get their link, we continued to receive and process registrations through Monday Jun e 29th.
All of this was possible due to a generous offer from Robert Griffiths of Martech Edu Group and VR Immersive Marketing. He offered the services of his team FOR FREE to produce our first ever online event, started a Facebook page for the participants, and supervised hundreds of emails and submissions. What a learning experience for everyone involved. We tested the limits of creativity and tech skills all around! Thank you to everyone for participating, but most of all to Robert and his team!
Please check out and Like his Facebook page, “Marketing Support & Education.”
We are working on ways to continue the INATS Virtual Expo in the year to come. Stay tuned. Thanks to all who participated this year. Your support and participation made all the difference!
Awakening Your Visionary Instinct
by Melinda Carver
It feels like our entire existence has tipped on its axis and we have a new normal thanks to a world-wide pandemic. Our Mind-Body-Spirit industry was considered “non-essential” by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. This edict caused many businesses in our industry to be hit hard with huge losses in income per various state government ordered shutdowns and community wide fear.
Some stores attempted curbside pickup and use of social media to spur mail orders. Other stores already had their websites set up for online orders. Authors’ book signing events and speaking engagements were canceled. Psychics and healers who did in-person readings at stores saw their classes and events canceled. Musicians’ concerts were postponed indefinitely. Some MBS manufacturers saw huge decreases in orders.
Our industry of conscious living has to look within to develop new ideas to be successful. Creating an online profile and teaching people new ways of reaching you is vital with so many people staying home. It is time to unleash your Visionary instinct to look outside the box on ways to pull your stuck business into a healthier bottom line. ** READ MORE (https://covr.org/awakening-your-visionary-instinct-by-melinda-carver/)
